stevenallenmay is a poetry gadfly. Since the mid-1990s he has curated and hosted poetry readings across eastern Pennsylvania as well as in northern Virginia. In 1999 he co-founded the Berks Bards and created a 30 day poetry festival, Bardfest, that ran every April (National Poetry Month) for almost 25 years. He also founded Plan B Press in the same year.
He is the author of Plastic Sunrise (2003) and the chapbooks spontaneous chili (2002) and fracturedevelopment (2005) along with a number of other smaller projects.
He is presently excited to present written in the stubble of 2 torn out pages to the world (before California sinks into the Pacific) published by Beothuk Books in 2024.
